قلعه ای زیبا و جادویی که در آن زمان متوقف شده است. قلعه سالار محتشم.
این قلعه در شهرستان خمین از توابع استان مرکزی و در شصت کیلومتری شهر اراک واقع شده است. این قلعه زیبا متعلق به سالار محتشم از رجال مشهور دوره قاجار و پهلوی اول است. قلعه ای قدیمی و زیبا با معماری تلفیقی از سبک اروپایی و سنتی ایرانی با گچکاری های بسیار زیبا و تماشایی و محیطی عجیب و زیبا با سکوتی منحصر به فرد.
نوع معماری و گچکاری های زیبای آن چشم هر بیننده و توریستی را مسحور می کند و در نگاه اول شخص بازدیدکننده را به دوران گذشته می برد. اشیا و لوازم قدیمی و کنده کاری های زیبای رنگی حس بسیار خوشایندی را در انسان ایجاد می نماید.
این بنا از دو طبقه ساخته شده است و از ساختمان های ایوان دار است این بنای تاریخی داخل شهر خمین قراردارد.در حال حاضر به عنوان موزه ی شهر خمین در برگیرنده ی آثار فرهنگی در زمینه ی باستان شناسی ومردم شناسی است.لوازم وابزار معیشتی مردم خمین عمده آثار این موزه را تشکیل می دهد.هم چنین پیکره هایی که نماینگر آیین های محلی می باشد.
عناصر معماری ایرانی همچون گوشواره، سردابه و گرمخانه در این بنا به کار برده شده است. با آمدن میرزا کوچکخان جنگلی به این قلعه جهت کمک گرفتن و نیز حمله اشرار به خمین و دفاع در برابر آنها از جمله حوادث تاریخی است که در ذهن این قلعه مانده است. این قلعه یک پدیده شاخص در مجموعه شهر بوده و دیوارهای بلند و نیز سردر باشکوه این بنا نظر هر بینندهای را به خود معطوف میکند.
